The Search for Something More Human (an interview with Cathy Presland)
I received a surprise gift yesterday when a fellow coach sent me the recording of a podcast he’d done with me.
It was a beautiful two hours we’d spent together earlier in the summer. Yes it's two hours and I realise that time and attention and interest in hearing me talk may not be top of everyone's priority list ;-), but it’s the space rather than the content that is the gift, and Robbie is a wonderful coach and interviewer if you’re at all curious.
We talk about what I think is the heart and foundation of coaching—something of interest to anyone I think who is considering working with a coach, or doing any kind of personal or professional development.
If you’re a coach, or curious about coaching, you might enjoy the other interviews on his site, no need to listen to me!, and, if you’re curious about exploring ‘the meaning of life’, you might enjoy that Robbie is so curious about what this is for me, what my background and training is as a coach, and also where we go to in this deep dive into how I see the world (or how I saw it during those hours we talked--nothing is fixed after all!).
He’s called the episode, the search for something more human, which I think sums it up perfectly, and is especially fitting for our current times.
With love,
Cathy
